~* What a Day...~*

What a Day What a Day (shaking head). Its been a good one so far. Can't say the same for last night, but it has been good so far today :) This morning I have been keeping myself busy with perm and temp power hook ups and doing some billing so we can get our billing caught up. We are officially caught up! YAY :) I have tomrorow off so this mad working woman can take a break and sleep in for once :) Surprise Surprise! Then I come back to work and Jennifer is gone on Friday, so it will just be the three of us. Mr Mc "noy" me :) Get it... Scott..... hasnt said a word to me today since I told him to mind his own business yesterday. I think he gets the point. Thats my new nickname for him btw. I kinda like it like that, then I dont have to hear his annoying voice. One clue kid, BLOW YOUR NOSE. Nothing is more annoying than someone who sits there and sniffs and then doesnt even blow there nose when its congested. UGH!!! Blow your damn nose! What am I going to do when I have kids? I have no clue. Lately Jennifer has been keeping her holy comments to herself. I think she kind of gets the hint that I dont listen to her. Um what else is new. Oh hay if you gise ever wanna email me at work my email is hmrichards@midamerican.com. Feel free. I get bored during the day, hints while I am out here blogging while I could be working. :) Anyways. Monday Morning Madness

The last place I wanted to be this morning at 7:30 am was here. I wanted to stay in bed today. I had a good nights sleep last night but still, I didn't want to get up knowing that I had to come to work :( Oh well!! I got here this morning at the same time as Janelle so I know I wasnt late hah hah :) There werent that many orders to do today when we got in here. I am already done with mine, minus the exception of the ones Jennifer threw on my desk cause she doesnt want to do them. That's cause you sit and talk all day, duh! Anyways!! I'm in Ipod world today. Can't stand the sound of Scott's voice today. For some reason his voice annoys the Hell out of me. I think its my overall attitude of him lol. anyways. Thats all for now, I gotta get some temp orders done since Jennifer felt the need to ditch them on me.

Fantabulous Friday!!!

Hopefully today will be much better in my world. I dont know what my issue was yesterday but no matter what any one or who ever did, I was bitter about it. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. But today seems to be much better. Maybe its because I got 16 more min's of sleep this morning than yesterday morning?! Anyways. I am throwing everyone for a loop!!! I am dressed up today. I needed to wear descent shoes to see if that is what is causing my problems with my legs and hips hurting. So I am wearing my black pants and pink shell with white sweater over it. And black dress shoes That are even on the ground. So we'll see if that helps me out. I think it is the flip flops cause last night in bed, my legs didnt hurt!! My back did, well thats just self explanitory, always had a bad back. anyways. Back to work!!!

YAY! Today is Friday. I never thought this day was going to get here honestly! I am excited about Kaydence's birthday party tomorrow. I haven't seen Andy or John or Gavin or Kay since Octoberish, I think it was. Oh well. I am really excited. Um what else?

Janellie is gone today, so its me Jen & Scott. This should be interesting. Jen was here before 730 I was so surprised when I pulled in and I saw her car here already. I was 2nd and then Scott was 3rd at 745am. So anyways, I better get to work on some temp orders. I have attached a picture of a temp pole. This is what we set up to be installed in the computer. Fun job :p

Its 8:15am

Its 8:15 am and I say something to Janelle about Scott pissing me off and she went off on me, stating that today is not the day to start trouble with anyone in here because the tension is high. How do you figure, me saying I cant hear my customers, is making trouble? I am to the point today where Im wanting to go home and not come back already. Its only day 19. Usually that happens on day 50 or something lol. I just plugged my ipod in and went from there. I just logged out of the phone since I havent officially been able to be on the phones yet. They will learn I am stubborn and will speak my mind whether the tension is high or NOT!!!!

8:06am and I'm already pissed!

Its 8:06a.m. and dumb ass has already pissed me off to the point where I just want to leave. Scott cannot pick up his god damn phone to talk, he has to do everything over speaker. When my customer on the phone can hear him on the phone with his customer, there's a problem. I asked him to pick up his phone really nicely and he said I don't want to and I will try and be quieter. Thats not the point. Not all of us are on speaker phone, we pick up the phone. God!! Hello. Your the only one thats on speaker phone dumb ass. Okay so its 8:08am and I am still venting and still ready to blow this popsicle stand. Hopefully I'll be able to add more later.

Introductions

Well today is day 18 on the job!!! Started April 23rd, 2006 @ Mid American Energy in Urbandale. We're located right across the street from Homemakers on Douglas.
Anyways, I'm in the construction services dept. I set orders to connect or disconnect temporary meters and set orders to connect permanent power to new homes. Anything new, they have to go through us first.

In my dept. theres 4 of us - my dept. is the electrical dept. There is a section of 2 girls, that work on Gas Connections.

In the Electric Dept its;

Janellie- she's been training me, since the trainer I was assigned to, has slacked. She has a daughter named Shannon, I graduated from school w/ Shannon. She works at Wal Mart, I see her all the time. J is just awesome, no words describe her better. Shes very responsible but has the personality of someone my age... I think thats what I love most about her.

Jennifer- My assigned trainer. Let me tell ya, what a trainer!!! She has been gone 99% of the time i've been here. She has not trained me but on 2 tasks, Janellie has taken care of me. She takes time off and continues to. Looking at the calendar, she has the next few Fridays off. She's the Holy Roler I talk about. She gave me a pen on my first day that said "worth waiting for..." Good god, I wont go into what else she tells me... So yeah, not to fond of her.

Scott - He's a couple years older than me. He's a nice kid but very annoying at times. He likes to butt into conversations and for christ sakes pick up your phone and get yourself off speaker. I cannot hear my customers on the phone if your on speaker phone dude. UGH! But then again he's funny and helpful at the same time.... I'm undecided on him.

That's the Electric Dept.

Then theres the gas dept. Deb & Julie work in that area. Dont know either of them very well to form an opinion, however, I do think one of them is not straight to say the least.

So those are my coworkers. Nice for the most part, when people actually show up to work. My biggest complaint is the training around here. I'm surprise I havent lost my mind yet to tell ya'll the truth. I dont know who is all reading this, but understand, I have been here almost a month on Monday the 21st, and I have learnt almost everything but they dont give you enough traning, that you will remember the tasks over time. Make sense?

So when you see me post out here, please give me some suggestions and help me out a little :) I need some encouraging words from time to time.
